“Traces of my own work”
　I have been working with iron for more than twenty years, from my earliest works, which were constitutive iron sculptures that divided space, to my [sculpture that lost its place], which produced scattered states of solid wrought iron. The various influences I received during later years in Europe led me to explore the world of color in search of a clearer and more visual statement. Since that time, I have been working in a painterly style, giving the title “Text” to my works.
　The chain of creation, like the binding of the pieces, is the numbering of all the related pieces, including the test pieces of trial and error, and the recording of the time line.
　The main work is based on red monochrome, and the construction of space by adjusting and combining related colors. On the other side is the [Works of Scarlet] series, which entrusts existing paint scarlet to collected, familiar objects that inspired the use of color.
　In the last few years, I have adopted the contrast with [blue] as a very typical color juxtaposed to [red]. This is to invite a kind of regression or juvenility to the danger of the dichotomy. It is also a neutralization of the rational aspect of monochrome.
　Red and blue, the vivid manifestations that unfold from this framework are intriguing. And to create a situation of a place composed of exhibits to be chosen also from colors is an artistic awakening that allows me to face innocence.
